That's a WRAP! 2.35 finished production on JACK & JILL a new short film written/directed by Nikhil Melnechuk. Starring Ellen Hollman and Melissa Jackson, the film follows two women as they burn through their last 48 hours of freedom before they are shipped off to the front lines. The five day shoot was lensed by 2.35's own cinematographer Ludovic Littee and shot on an Arri Alexa with Panavision Primo lenses.

SWEEP screened at Stony Brook Film Festival.
SWEEP written and directed by 2.35's own Spencer Gillis screened tonight at the 20th Anniversary Stony Brook Film Festival to a crowd of approximately 600 people! The film film preceded the feature film THE KEEPING ROOM from Drafthouse films. Following the screening of SWEEP was a 16 minute Q&A with director Spencer Gillis - WATCH HERE.

SWEEP & BRIEF CRISIS selected for Palm Springs SHORTFEST.
SWEEP written and directed by in house director Spencer Gillis will screen in Palm Springs just days after its West Coast Premier at LAFF.
We are excited to be returning to Shortfest this year not only with SWEEP but also with The Brief, Existential Crisis of a Young Underwear Model. Directed by Brett & Drew Checkelsky and produced by 2.35 partner Nicole Cosgrove this is the brothers first film and it will be their PREMIER SCREENING.

The pilot is set to air in fall of 2015 or Q1 of 2016. Directed by Spencer Gillis & Nicole Cosgrove. Lensed by partner Ludovic Littee. The content of the show hush-hush for now, but will be happy to share more about the project when it comes to a TV near you! We are psyched about the opportunity to work with VICE!

SWEEP selected for Athens International Film + Video Festival.
Our latest short continues its run with a selection to compete at the academy qualifying Athens International Film + Video Festival. This is the first time 2.35 will play at Athens and the second screening in the state of Ohio (previously at Cleveland International Film Festival).

GUN, our first short film as 2.35, is now available for download on iTunes for $2.99. GUN was an official selection of the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, going on to play at more than 15 festivals worldwide and qualifying for the academy awards with a Grand Jury Prize win at the 2013 Atlanta Film Festival. The film was directed by 2.35 partner Spencer Gillis, produced by 2.35 partner Nicole Cosgrove, and shot by 2.35 partner Ludovic Littee.

2.35 guest artists at Denison University.

2.35 partners Nicole Cosgrove and Spencer Gillis as well as 2.35 collaborator James Daly were honored as visiting guest artists at Denison University. The group screened 2.35 films GUN and GLINDA and spoke to students in film aesthetics and film history courses taught by Prof. Jesse Schlotterbeck. The talks covered topics ranging from sound design to current trends in independent filmmaking practices. Nicole, Spencer and James also dined for lunch with the film major students to further discuss working in the film/tv industry.

Our 2013 Sundance film GUN, directed by 2.35 partner Spencer Gillis, will have it's broadcast debut on ShortsTV March 21st. ShortsTV is available to subscribers of AT&T U-Verse and Direct TV. The film was produced by partner Nicole Cosgrove and lensed by partner Ludovic Littee.

Trailer released for 2.35 co-production IN THE HOLLOW
Our first documentary production IN THE HOLLOW has a new trailer. The film follows the harrowing journey of Claudia Brenner after she and her girlfriend, Rebecca Wight, experienced a hate crime on the Appalachian Trail in 1988. Directed by Austin Bunn, IN THE HOLLOW was produced and lensed by 2.35 partner Spencer Gillis. The short film is currently in post-production with festival submissions starting soon.

2.35 completes successful Kickstarter campaign for latest short film SWEEP.
2.35 wrapped up a 30 day campaign on Kickstarter by raising $9,197 for our latest short film SWEEP. The film was helmed by director Spencer Gillis, produced by Nicole Cosgrove, and Ludovic Littee was the director of photography . The funds will pay for sound design/mixing, color correction, music licensing, final mastering, and film festival submissions.

2.35 partner Spencer Gillis participates on jury at 2014 Milwaukee Film Festival.
Creative partner Spencer Gillis was invited to serve on the short film jury for the 2014 Milwaukee Film Festival, alongside jurors Dan Doody (Seattle International Film Festival) and Jessica Farrell (filmmaker). The top prize of $1,000 was awarded to director Sandhya Daisy Sundaram for LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. Spencer and his collegues also awarded two special jury prizes to THROUGH THE HAWTHORNE (dirs. Anna Benner, Pia Borg, Gemma Burditt) and THE LAST DAYS OF PETER BERGMANN (dir. Ciaran Cassid). Spencer's first experience with Milwaukee Film Festival was with the selection of GUN in it's 2013 shorts lineup. "I was really impressed with their programming and how welcoming they were to visiting filmmakers. It would be fantastic to return to Milwaukee again and again. Great town, great people, and they really love film."

Creative partner Spencer Gillis is now the b-camera operator for the final three months of ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK season 3. Spencer has been day-playing as a camera operator on the show since season 2, but is thrilled to be on-board full time.

2.35 partners with The Standard Highline to reveal 'Friends With You' Light cave.
We are excited to announce our recent partnership with The Standard High Line, New York. This is the beginning of a creative journey alongside Standard Culture creative David Meyer and in house director Markus Marty. The duo came to 2.35 in search of creative and production support. They were looking to create a stunning visual piece that would capture the ethereal and other worldly tone of the 25’ by 55’ Light Cave created by LA based artisits 'Friends With You.' We gathered our best visual creatives. Cinematographer Corey Gegner spearheaded the intensive lighting process alongside Gaffer Nick Perron-Siegel to create a new world inside The Standard Plaza.

2.35 partner, Nicole Cosgrove set to produce feature film, WE ONLY KNOW SO MUCH.
WE ONLY KNOW SO MUCH, based on Elizabeth Crane's first novel, is a story that follows four generations of a singularly weird American family, all living under one roof, as each member confronts a moment of crisis in a narrative told through each of their uniquely quirky, charming, and unforgettable voices.
Partner Nicole Cosgrove will be joining the team as creative producer alongside director Donal Ward, known for his work as a staff writer on HOW TO MAKE IT IN AMERICA, and leading the team is EP Linda Moran of Belladonna productions. The film is being produced in conjunction with Red Hour and slated to begin principal photography in October of 2014.

2.35 Partner Ludovic Littee to lens season 3 of ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK.
Creative partner and 2.35 in-house Director of Photography, Ludovic Littee, will complete Season 3 of ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK, as cinematographer. Ludovic joined the Netflix family in the spring of 2013 as the 'B' camera operator on the acclaimed political thriller HOUSE OF CARDS. Littee joined ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK as the 'A' Camera operator in fall of 2013 under Director of photography Yaron Orbach.

2.35 is proud to announce our latest co-production, IN THE HOLLOW, a documentary short.
IN MAY 1988, girlfriends Rebecca Wight and Claudia Brenner were attacked along the Appalachian Trail by a “mountain man” named Stephen Ray Carr. The horrific story of the shooting, Wight’s death, and Brenner’s desperate survival are known largely as a terrible — if hazy — footnote in the rare history of violence along the trail.
Partner Spencer Gillis will lens the film for director/producer Austin Bunn. Bunn co-wrote the feature film KILL YOUR DARLINGS (Sony Pictures Classics), which premiered at Sundance 2013, and screened at the Toronto Film Festival and Venice Film Festival (WINNER, International Days Prize). His writing has appeared in The Atlantic, The New York Times Magazine, The Pushcart Prize, The Advocate, Best American Science and Nature Writing and elsewhere. He is the producer and writer of LAVENDER HILL (Outfest 2013, Inside Out 2014, Palm Springs LGBT Film Festival “Best of the Fest”, Oneota Film Festival Short Doc Winner). His short story collection, THE BRINK, will be published in 2015 by Harper Perennial. He is an Assistant Professor at Cornell University’s Performing and Media Arts Department.
IN THE HOLLOW is a co-production by Traveling Fellows and 2.35 with funding from Cornell Council for the Arts, the Departments of Performing and Media Arts, LGBT Studies, Feminist, Gender and Sexuality Studies, the LGBT Center, and Zwickler Memorial Fund.
